DEWA receives delegation from Ajman Free Zone Authority

As part of its efforts to share best practices with governmental departments and private organisations, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority ( DEWA ), received a delegation from 'Ajman Free Zone Authority' (AFZA) to further strengthen collaboration between the two parties.

The AFZA delegation included Latifa Al Shurafa, Director of HR, Fatma Al Hamrani, Employee Care Officer, Shamsa Al Dhahri, Training &development officer, Moza Mohammed, Knowledge Executive, and Wafaa Al Lughani, Employees Care Executive.

From DEWA side Maryam Al Thani, Senior Manager of Corporate Partnership, Maha Al Masom, Manager of Training, and Aysha Al Asm, Manager of Employee Relations, welcomed the delegation.

The visit aimed to provide insights on best distinguished practices adopted by DEWA in the field of training and development of human resources, as well as review the TAWASOL Suggestion Scheme that targets to trigger creative thinking and encourage the employees to contribute with constructive ideas and suggestions.

The delegation also explored the TAKAFUL initiative which aims to provide financial support to the participants whenever personal emergency occurs.

The visiting delegation had also a site visit to DEWA 's nursery which was founded to provide care for the children of the employees enhancing positive work environment and increasing employees' productivity.

DEWA and AFZA stressed on the importance of strengthening collaboration to further improve overall performance in both organisations. The delegation thanked DEWA officials for providing an overview on its distinguished practices, and both parties exchanged trophies at the end of visit.
