Ajman Free Zone in UAE inviting Indian investors
Senior delegations from Ajman Free Zone, UAE, are visiting Chennai, New
Delhi and Mumbai to promote the benefits of investing in Ajman and encourage
Indian companies to open new offices there.
The zone offers 100% foreign ownership, repatriation of capital and profits,
no corporate tax, no personal income tax and no import duties on goods, low
handling charges, easy access to workforce, single window clearances and
cheap energy to businesses interested in setting up an offshore company.
Mahmood Al Hashemi, general manager of Ajman Free Zone, said, "With a large
Indian diaspora residing in the UAE and around the Gulf Cooperation Council
(GCC), India and its business community are of strategic importance to us.
We have a streamlined bureaucracy sans any red tape. The pricing is very
competitive. The world-class infrastructure at Ajman Free Zone comes with no
hidden fees or service charges."
India is one of the top three trading partners of the UAE. At present, over
17,000 companies are registered in Ajman Free Zone out of which close to 40%
are of Indian ownership.
For Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs who find entry cost
prohibitive, licences such as Smart Office have also been launched.
