Shaikh Mohammed unveils Customer Services Centres’ Rating plaque
The UAE is the first country in the world to adopt this rating system
for government service centres based on a comprehensive operational
framework.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime
Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has emphasised that the focus on
customers and clients is a fundamental pillar in the success of any
organisation.
Shaikh Mohammed said this during the unveiling of a Customer Services
Centres’ Rating plaque at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC)
Courts, which received a 5-star rating. DIFC Courts is the first non-federal
entity to be classified according to the accredited Star Rating System. Also
present at the unveiling were Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation.
Shaikh Mohammed said, “Our ultimate goal is to make the UAE a source of best
management practices with regard to improving services, and we are proud of
our experience in rating service centers; an Emirati experience carried out
by our Emirati citizens.”
The ceremony was also attended by Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister
for Cabinet Affairs and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the
Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai.
The UAE is the first country in the world to adopt this rating system for
government service centres based on a comprehensive operational framework
that emulates the standards applied in hotels, banks and aviation companies.
The project is part of the Emirates Government Service Excellence Programme
and is managed by the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. It embodies the practical
steps to develop government services according to the international
standards and rate all federal customer service centres based on the
development of services and responding to customers’ requests.
