Dubai Silicon Oasis receives CIPS certification
First free zone in the UAE to receive CIPS certification
Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, has
become the first free zone in the UAE to receive the Chartered Institute of
Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Standard Corporate Certification. Dr. Mohammad
Al Zarouni, Vice Chairman and CEO, Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, received
the certification from Rebecca Fox, General Manager, CIPS Mena, in the
presence of a number of senior officials from DSO.
The certification, which acknowledges the seamless operation of the free
zone’s logistics department, is valid for three years and recognises DSO’s
procurement and supply policies, strategy, procedures and processes that
were assessed against CIPS benchmarks for leadership and organisation,
personnel, process and systems, as well as strategy, performance measurement
and management.
