Dr. Rashid Al Leem honored for boosting UAE-Malaysia & Italy trade ties
at Kuala Lumpur
Dr. Rashid Al Leem is honored in recognition of his efforts for improved business trade at KL Malaysia
In recognition of his contributions in promoting and accelerating business &
trade relationship between UAE and Malaysia & UAE and Italy, Dr. Rashid Al
Leem, Director General Sharjah Department of Seaports & Customs and Sharjah
Free Zones Authority was honored by H.E Carlo Allaria, The president of
Malaysian-Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Asian Korea SME Conference 2013 was held alongside the exhibition under
the theme 'SMEs Changing the Game'. The conference provided a platform for
ASEAN SMEs to leverage on the networking and business opportunities.. HFZA
was able to forge strategic business partnerships, exchange information and
network with high-ranking officials on different business sectors in both
the private and governmental organizations.
At the event; Dr. Alleem Highlighted the success of Hamriyah Free Zone
Authority, reputed to be a "hotbed for SMEs", he detailed how it has now
grown to encompass 6,000 Companies from across 150 countries. The Free Zone
has attracted investment of more than US$ 20bn in foreign direct investment
to the region thereby strengthening its enviable position as one of the
fastest-growing business hubs in the Middle East, he added.
As a leading Free Zone in the UAE, HFZA consistently continuing to support
the SMEs, Believes in the importance of SMEs and on its rapidly gaining
credence as one of the key contributors of economic progress of any nation.
Alleem urged the SME community to be competitive to face the new challenges
and to be an organization with "Glocalisation" mind set.
"By incorporating a responsible regulatory environment, world class
infrastructure and innovative products and services that enhance commodity
trade flows, and contributing to the overall growth of the nation, the
Hamriyah Free Zone Authority has evolved as one of the leading success
stories of the UAE. " Dr. Rashid said.
