UAE- Italian business mission visits Hamriyah Free Zone

A delegation of Italian chartered accountants visited Hamriyah Free Zone (HFZA) recently shared their insights and explored possibilities of mutual cooperation in various fields in the free zone.

"Our business mission is pleased to visit HFZA and to explore the opportunities and facilities available in the free zone as we wish to expand our reach to the Middle East market" said Filippo Invitti who led the delegation consisting of over 130 chartered accountants from the National Council of Professional Accountants of Italy.

Saud Salim Al Mazrouei Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone stressed the growing bilateral trade between the UAE and Italy.

Al Mazrouei said "With the growing bilateral trade between the two countries and the encouragingresponse we received from the delegation and the other exhibitions in which we participated in Italy we hope to see an increase in the number of Italian companies in HFZA in the coming months."

Al Mazrouei noted that the Italian Industry and Commerce Office in the UAE was first set up in Sharjah back in 1999.

Ali Saeed Al Jarwan HFZA Deputy Commercial Manager TV Ramesh Chief Finance Officer Salma S. Saqr Head of Commercial Section and Mohammed Basheer Head of Foreign Trade explained the various features of HFZA and the current business trends to the delegation.

"It was a good chance to discuss potential business tie-ups with the team and to get an insight into the best-practice experiences and new areas of innovation" said Al Jarwan.

Currently HFZA hosts over 6500 business establishments 56 of which are Italian companies.
