RAK FTZ wins two industry award recognitions

In a move that reinforces its growing reputation not only in the region but across the globe, the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ), one of the fastest-growing and most cost-effective free trade zones in the UAE, has announced that it has been honoured with two industry awards in the Middle East and beyond.

Re-emphasising its role in the changed digital environment and business landscape, the RAK FTZ made itself proud by winning the top Economic Zone in the World award for Digital Marketing, conferred by fDi Intelligence and Magazine. RAK FTZ is the only economic zone in the entire MENA region to be honoured with the award.

The fDi Digital Marketing award recognises the best digital marketing campaigns, initiatives and strategies across the globe and judged the various digital offerings on the basis of innovation, effective use of social media and website design and marketing through search engine optimization, access to information and contact.

The free zone also received a major impetus in its commitment to social responsibility when it was conferred the Best Corporate in the UAE Award for Social Responsibility. The award was given by the Arab Organisation for Social Responsibility in collaboration with Tatweej Academy for Excellence. The Arab Organisation for Social Responsibility aims to honor and encourage the governmental and private organisations in the Arab world to emphasise role in the Social Responsibility.

The award was handed over at a gala ceremony held on December 15 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai. RAK FTZ was recognised for its support to various social and environmental initiatives, including its Environment, Health and Safety Program (EHS), the Clean-Up UAE campaign, the Healthy Employee Lifestyle Program (HELP), numerous blood donation campaigns, support to cancer research in the UAE and a wide array of sports and educational programs within the country.

Maryam Al Murshedi, Deputy Director General of RAK FTZ, said, "It is a matter of immense privilege to be honoured with top industry awards this week.
