His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime
Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received the visiting Fijian Prime
Minister Commodore Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama and his accompanying delegation
at Zabeel Palace.
In presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown
Prince, Sheikh Mohammed discussed with his Fijian counterpart boosting
bilateral relations between the two countries in the fields of investment,
tourism and air transport.
Earlier, Bainimarama inaugurated the Fijian Embassy in Abu Dhabi marking the
first Fijian diplomatic presence in the GCC.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted UAE's keenness on establishing cooperation ties
with different world countries and the benefits of this approach on the
peoples of the UAE and world countries.
Also present at the meeting were Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief
Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of
the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of State Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi, a number of
officials in addition to the Fijian Ambassador to the UAE Ravindran Robin
Nair.
