Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended a screening of a documentary showing the day-to-day operations at the Dubai International Airport at the Meydan IMAX Theatre on Wednesday, local news agency WAM reported.

The hour-long film was part of a 10-episode documentary, produced by Dubai Airports, in collaboration with the National Geographic Channel, which will be broadcasted to its viewers base of over 500 million households around the world.

The Dubai Ruler was accompanied HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates Group.

The documentary shows daily work at the Dubai International Airport and the facilities offered to passengers at the runway, gates, immigration counters, baggage collection areas and customs gates.

Commenting on the documentary, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed said it was expected to appeal to millions of viewers, thanks to the well-crafted cinematography and simplicity.

"The film tells a success story of an airport that is one of a kind in terms of services and facilities. It is gateway envisioned by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to be a reflection of the civilisation and hospitality of the UAE people," he added.

HH Sheikh Mohammed praised the effort made in producing and filming the documentary and asked for its repeated broadcasting to people all over the world.
