Mohammed bin Rashid meets Saudi YEC delegation

Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met today at the Dubai World Trade Centre with a delegation from Saudi Arabia's Young Entrepreneurs Council (YEC) of Al Sharqiya Province. The delegation members are on a visit to the UAE to familiarise themselves with the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) sector in the country.

During the meeting attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the Saudi entrepreneurs and assured them that the doors are open for them to benefit from the Emirati experience in the SMEs.

Sheikh Mohammed advised the Saudi youth willing to start their own businesses to possess positive and constructive energy and use it to achieve their goals.

"You are blessed with a government that supports you every step of the way. All you need to do is to benefit from others' experiences, especially the experience of UAE youth who managed to become successful entrepreneurs, thanks to the leadership's support," he said.

Sheikh Mohammed also told the delegation to "challenge the challenges," and added: "We in the UAE go after challenges and address them head on until we reach our goals. For us, challenge is an opportunity for success and excellence and for maintaining our lead position as number one. Number one is what I and and my fellow Emirati people like to reach."

He also urged them to make sure they have working groups to support them in their businesses.

"It is true that I mentor, draw plans, develop visions and follow up on the progress. However, I could not have done anything without the teams working with me in development projects covering economy, tourism, cultural, educational, IT, transport, telecommunications and other sectors," he added.

Sheikh Mohammed said he wished to see Arab youth happy and optimistic, yet committed to their work.

"Commitment is key to success for those who would do the impossible. The word impossible is not my or in the UAE's vocabulary because whoever coined it, didn't know the taste of success. In this life, anything is possible."
The YEC delegation members expressed delight over their meeting with Sheikh Mohammed and listening to his wisdom.

In attendance were Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director general of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department.
