du named strategic partner of govt summit
The Organising Committee of the Government Summit has announced a strategic
partnership with du as a Headline Partner of the event to be held from
Feb.10 -12 2014.
The event will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed
Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and
Ruler of Dubai, under the theme “Leading Government Services”.
The second Government Summit will focus on developing creative concepts in
providing government services, and the vision of Sheikh Mohammed for future
government that exceeds customers’ expectations.
The summit also aims to underline an inspiring model of government services
based on the “five-star” hospitality, financial services and aviation
industries, for which the UAE is internationally renowned.
Elaborating on the vision of Sheikh Mohammed to develop public sector in
accordance with best international standards, Ahmad Bin Byat, chairman of du,
said, “The Government Summit brings public and private sector together in
partnership on a uniquely interactive platform for encouraging national and
international dialogue on developing customer service concepts, in line with
the vision of the UAE’s leadership to develop new concepts in customer
service based on creativity and innovation. The summit’s theme of ‘utilising
the unique experiences of the private sector’ lays a great responsibility on
local private institutions, encouraging them to do their part to the
fullest, based on a clear understanding of both customers’ and government
client needs. It gives us immense pride to be a strategic partner of this
event. I am confident that the event will bear fruitful results not only for
the UAE government, but for the region as a whole.”
