Abdullah bin Zayed meets with Portuguese Prime Minister

Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister met here on Friday
Portuguese Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho.
Shaikh Abdullah and Coelho exchanged views on a number of issues of
mutual interest, and the latest regional and international developments.

Shaikh Abdullah conveyed the regards of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of
Dubai, and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu
Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the
Portuguese Prime Minister.
Coelho asked Shaikh Abdullah to convey his regards to Shaikh Mohammed bin
Rashid and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed, wishing more progress and
prosperity to the UAE
During the meeting, the UAE Foreign Minister praised the relations between
the UAE and Portugal, thanks to keenness of leaders of both countries on
strengthening them in all fields.
The two parties discussed cooperation ties, and ways to develop them to
include a number of fields in a way that opens new horizons of joint work
between the two friendly countries. They also explored possibility of
establishing partnerships in a number of different sectors.
Shaikh Abdullah and Coelho exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual
interest, and the latest regional and international developments.
For his part, the Portuguese Prime Minister welcomed the UAE Foreign
Minister and the delegation accompanying him, hoping that the visit would
further contribute to strengthening ties between the two friendly countries.
Shaikh Abdullah also met Portuguese Deputy Prime Minister Paulo Portas. They
discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation ties,
especially in the area of health.
The two meetings were attended by UAE Ambassador to Portugal Saqr Nasser Al
Raisi.
