Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid attends ninth edition of the Dubai
International Sports Conference
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, H.H. Sheikh
Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the National Olympic
Committee and President of Mohammed Bin Rashid Creative Sports Awards, today
attended the ninth edition of the Dubai International Sports Conference,
organised by the Dubai Sports Council.
The Conference will run until tomorrow at the Atlantis Palm Hotel in Dubai.
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed was received by a number of officials
including Mattar Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council,
Chairman of the Executive Office, Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina,
Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and Michel Platini, President the Union
of European Football Associations.
For five years, the formula has included Globe Soccer, and the last four
editions have included the Football Awards which recognise those who enrich
the world's most popular sport. Tomorrow, the names of the winners will be
announced, chosen by a jury from shortlists drawn up by the relevant
associations (ECA, the European club association, and EFAA, the association
of FIFA agents) as well as selections made by the chief refereeing officers.
